Saratoga Carriage Driving Classic - August 2nd and 3rd, 2008

Tamara made an impressive showing in her first pleasure show...the Saratoga Driving Association Carriage Driving Classic, held at the Berkshire Equestrian Center in Richmond, MA. Tamara took Grand Champion in the Novice Horse/Pony division and captured First Place in Ladies to Drive and honors in several other competition classes including Timed Obstacles and Pick-Your-Own-Route. She drove her Eagle 4-wheel carriage and DeeDee, one of her veteran Percheron mares. She also brought along Ansley for the Carriage Dog class (his very first pleasure show as well).

Annual ERDHA Old Fashioned Horse Drawn Sleigh Rally

Each year Classic Carriage Service proudly hosts the Eastern Regional Draft Horse Association sponsored Old Fashioned Horse Drawn Sleigh Rally at our farm in Johnstown. Teamsters from the ERDHA bring their horses and sleighs (or wagons when snow is in short supply) to provide free rides to spectators.

Included in the sleigh rally are the "Currier & Ives" and obstacle classes. Spectators can watch as the teamsters turn out in the style of the Currier & Ives era and demonstrate their horse handling skill and speed in the obstacle courses.

2007 Schenectady, New York Holiday Parade

The Schenectady Gazette newspaper contracted Classic Carriage Service to provide a ride for Santa and Mrs. Claus and 10 eager children for the 2007 Schenectady Holiday Parade. The Gazette proudly sponsors the parade each year.

Classic Carriage Service also provided the horse drawn wagon service for the Gazette in 2006.
